HOUSTON'S NEW $500-MILLION CITYCENTRE MIXED-USE DEVELOPMENT CLOSES THE MONTH OF OCTOBER WITH TWO RESTAURANT AND THREE RETAIL OPENINGS

HOUSTON, TX
November 3, 2009

October was a watershed month for CITYCENTRE, a premier, $500-million, 37-acre mixed-use development located on the city's burgeoning west side, within close proximity to both the Westchase and Energy Corridor business districts and walking distance of the affluent Memorial neighborhood. CITYCENTRE saw the launch of two restaurants and three retail establishments in October in addition to the kickoff of a Third Thursday concert series featuring free entertainment for residents and visitors. The district encompasses 1.8-million square feet of retail, entertainment and Class A office space, several multifamily living options totaling nearly 700 units, a central plaza with fire and water features and recently debuted Hotel Sorella www.hotelsorella-citycentre.com, the sophisticated, 244-room flagship of a new brand from Houston-based Valencia Group.

Featuring fresh seafood, the finest steaks and nightly entertainment, Eddie V's Prime Seafood www.eddiev.com, an Austin, TX institution, made CITYCENTRE the home for its first Houston location and has already earned raves for its equally dazzling menu and interior. The first site in the Southwest for San Francisco-based Straits Restaurant www.straitsrestaurants.com is located on the ground floor of Hotel Sorella and introduces modern Singaporean cuisine to Houston with a chic main dining room and ultra lounge. Straits' menu explores and merges influences from around Southeast Asia, resulting in fare that is unique and complex in its fragrances and flavors. Both restaurants are served by expansive outdoor areas for alfresco dining and gathering.

Eddie V's and Straits followed the August 2009 opening of RA Sushi www.rasushi.com. Known for fresh sushi and a menu full of Pacific Rim offerings, RA Sushi's second Houston outpost in CITYCENTRE is luring crowds for its high energy environment and a see and be seen happy hour. And dining options will expand again in November with the debuts of Yard House www.yardhouse.com, an upscale-casual eatery originally out of Long Beach, CA offering an extensive menu, classic rock music and world's largest selection of draft beer, plus two new concepts - Bistro Alex and Café Rose - from Alex Brennan-Martin of the famed Louisiana Brennan restaurant family.

Retail and entertainment offerings are also expanding at CITYCENTRE, which boats a popular location of Dallas-based Studio Movie Grill www.studiomoviegrill.com and 140,000-square foot LifeTime Athletic Club, which features an indoor soccer field, full-service spa and salon plus café among its numerous amenities. New in October were the openings of Anthropologie www.anthropologie.com, Eye Couture www.eyecouture.com and Bailey Banks & Biddle www.baileybanksandbiddle.com. In December, CITYCENTRE's resident art curator, Holly Denslow, will open the Sculptures by Design art gallery, and on the horizon for early 2010 is a location of foodie destination Sur La Table www.surlatable.com and trend-setting Republic of Couture www.republicofcouture.com.
